I'm used to other tools that make it easy to differentiate
between identifying and non-identifying relationships. PD
10.0 does not seem to have that facility. It seems that I
have to draw the relationship lines, migrate the FKs, and
then mark the FK columns as PK for an identifying
relationship.
Am I doing something wrong?

PowerDesigner calls an identifying relationship a "dependent relationship".
Draw the line between the entities.
Double-click the relationship line.
Click the "Detail" tab.
Check the "Dependent" checkbox.

It may be worth pointing out that this is also PD Conceptual model's way of
dealing sc. 'weak' entities of
Chen style ER modelling.
