Try Model->Extended Model Definitions. Add a metaclass(relationship) and
then an extended attribute.
The Extended Attribute will then show up in the Properties tabs.
Hope it helps

The E/R notation in CDM does not allow attributes on relationships.

You can design the equivalent by using the "Change to Entity" option on the relationship to change it into an entity with two dependent relationships to the related entities (Weak Entity is it?).

Or you can change the CDM notation (Tools > Model Option) for E/R+Merise which will give you the MERISE associations, which are like fat relationships, able to bear attributes...
But you will have two notations for the "links": crow feet for the relationships, and cardinality interval "0,n" for the associations links.

if you're working on a CDM, you can use an association link.
this is translated as a table with 2 links in the PDM.
