We are in the process of creating packages from an existing PDM based on subject area so that multiple teams can work at the sametime. But while we create the packages, the relationships are not getting moved into the packages if we drag and drop the entites. If we use method of "convert to package" option, power designer seem to move all the entities which were not selected as shorcuts even though there are no relationship to the entites selected to be included into the package. Did anyone faced this or any suggestions to get around the issue.

Just to summarize, we would like to create packages which will include only the required entities along with the relationship. The required entities can be shortcuts to entities which were not selected to go into the package if they are required to show te relationships.

Thanks.

We recently started going through this same process, and noticed some of the same behavior. We ended up using VB scripts and the object list boxes provided by PowerDesigner to sort out the mess. It was painful, but we're glad it's done.
