I'm running PowerDesigner 16.1 and using a target database MS Sql Server 2008 R2 (soon also SQL Server 2012).
But I'm lacking resource files for correct version. Currently I have resource file for MS SQL Server 2005, but not above that version. Is it possible to get .xdb file for new dbms's somewhere?

Hi, Anders. I'm running a more recent version that you (16.5), but I see both the 2008 and 2012 versions of Microsoft SQL Server in the "New" dropdown list on the dialog box Database -> Change Current DBMS...

If your app is pointing to a different directory, it's possible that you just need to copy the xdb file from your installation directory to the directory where you keep your DBMS definition files. This directory is probably something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sybase\PowerDesigner 16\Resource Files\DBMS", though it can vary depending on hnow your app was installed.

Hello,

Please revert to me if you are interested in the below job opportunity.

Location - Lansing, MI
Contract Duration - 6 Months
Exp - 3 to 7 years

We need someone with strong relational database experience, especially MS SQL Server and Sybase if possible. Someone with SCRIBE experience would most likely have the necessary database skills. Experience with Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) would also be helpful.

Regards,
Sushma
